The small village of Lagoudi lies around 15 kms south of the town of Kos and a mere 1 km from the village of Asfendiou. It is is situated quite high on the hills and overlooks the plain, the Tigkaki Salt Pan and a bit further away, the island of Pserimos. Behind it, the mount Dikaios range of mountains is quite an overwhelming sight. The population of the village has remained very simple and most of its inhabitants are farmers. There are a series of extremely basic classic old greek cafes (kafeneion) where the owners might just let you taste some of the local "delicacies": kanelada (a cinnamon based drink), some sweet tomato or grape... enjoy..
