The Sanctuary of Appollo Dalios dating back to the 10th century B.C. is the most significant archaeological site on the island of Kalymnos. Parts of the temple have been used in the construction of other edifices namely the Church of Panagia Haritomeni in Chora. In the same area you will find two Basilicas that were erected on top of the Temple of Appollo Dalios parts of which were used as building material: The Church of Christ of Jerusalem and St. Sophia.
