In Vriokastro you will find the scattered remains of a medieval castle. Vriokastro is situated in the south western part of the island just before the southernmost tip of the island, the Krikelos peninsula. It is difficult to access and a pretty difficult climb on an abrupt cliff overlooking Paradise Beach. To get there you will have to leave your transport a kilometer or so after the crossroad leading to Cavo Paradiso (you head towards Aghios Mammas). You then go on a westerly direction past mount Keri and head towards the mountain at the end of Cavo Paradiso. The remains are scarce and few, the one column being the highlight once you get to the top. The view is awe inspiring and well worth the climb...
