This river situated in Kefalos between Limnionas and Aghios Theologos is a sight most people would not expect to find on the island of Kos. During the winter there is quite a decent flow of water and the numerous water turtles love to spend the day in the sun next to the water, ready to plunge in if a the rare intruder comes by. As the days get warmer and we get closer to the summer the flow slows down to a mere trickle, but the plush greenery in the bed of the river remains vigorous.
