The picturesque little village of Emporio is situated some 24kms North west of the capital of Kalymnos, Pothia. It has maintained its traditional look and its few inhabitants (around 70 people currently) live mostly off the land. There are a few restaurants and accommodation is also available for those who would venture that far. There is also a beautiful church inside the village. You can also visit the archaeological sites in the area including a Basilica, some Baths and the Castle of Kastri.
