The Kohilari beach is situated in the Kefalos area, on the northern coast. It can be reached by taking the road north just before arriving at the Kefalos Bay. It is a very long sandy beach stretching for miles. The wind hits this side of the island so there are usually quite a lot of waves, that is why this part of the island has become the "kitesurfers' realm". Still, if you want to go there for a swim you can always walk along the beach and get to a more secluded part...
