Among the ruins of the old settlement of "Haihoutes" lies the church of Aghios Dimitrios. The current church was probably built around the end of the 19th beginning of the 20th century, but seems to have been edified on the remains of an old palaiochristian basilica which would explain the incorporation of a large number of marble pieces that you can identify on the inside and outside structure of the church.
The church is orthogonal in shape with a round apse on the Eastern side. The Bell Tower is quite impressive and you will also notice the cells next to the church.
